In the meantime, let's try these steps here: Let's start off by uninstalling the display drivers from device manager: Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers. Websorry for necro-ing this old post but i had some issues with monitors and following ian's answer on this forum worked.
