WebJan 13, 2024 · If you get water out then you know it is the nozzle that is blocked. A bit of persuasion with a pin and some sucking and blowing should clear it easily. It then just pushes back in, again, a fair bit of force needs to be applied to bottom it out in the metal tube. It's very easy, literally a 5 min job. Cheers. WebOct 29, 2011 · Possible solution: I had the same problem twice on my '97 528i. Both times, the line leading from the resevoir to the to the pump had become loose at the junction that lies on the passenger side of the car back near the windshield. The connector just pushes together and it had just worked itself apart. Hope this helps.

Yes its the mixing that causes the issue. The gauze filters BMW use are very fine, probably too fine, and they block easily. Mine was a bit gunky but also had all these black slimy bits in as well which apparently is mould build up which BMW claim their fluid prevents.

I didn't experience any blocked 'jet shooters'. I know on the old cars you can use a pin to unblock the jet shooter holes. But they are different on the new cars and have a single jet shooter hole.

Clamp one tightly then stick the other one in an air line & a few blasts of compressed air will clean the blockage. Then fill washer bottle with very hot water (no additives) and use the whole bottle up to clear the grunge out.
