It appears that one of the internal fuses has blown as it works ok on gas but not on electric. Truma confirmed over the telephone that one of the fuses in the heating unit has probably blown. The air problem is caused by water syphoning back into the aquaroll, this would suggest the non-return valve in the water heaters plastic cold water inlet fitting is sticking open.
